Scratch

Does anyone know how I can get rid of a key scratch on my own without taking to any body place. I rather fix the key strach on my own then take it, to the body place to get a paint job. Pls Help.

What would anyone suggest for a rather deep scratch? Kid's bike. Nuff said. Any suggestions? Buff as well as I can, then touch-up paint?
