Ok, I'm not sure if this is a problem. What I've noticed for the past month or so is that rarely the car doesn't seem to transition smoothly from 1st to 2nd gear. It's almost like it's jumping to 2nd from 1st. It tends to happen on medium throttle or very low throttle and only from 1st to 2nd. I have about 4K miles on the 06 and haven't changed the oil yet. Also, if I drive around w/ a low throttle for a while and then suddenly on a green light go for a medium throttle it happens (not all the time though). Any problems, suggestions, comments?

Mine has done this too under those conditions. I have an '04 with about 50K and it started doing it around 16K, the transmission hasn't failed yet and the problem hasn't worsened. I'm not too concerned about it.

 

i don't really think this is a problem either. i used to have a legend (aka an old school tl imo) and it was pretty much common knowledge that the car didn't shift smoothly from first to second. there was nothing wrong with the engine or the car.

 

Well I'm not too sure if this was the culprit, but just recently I filled up with Chevron gas and have notice the problem...or maybe it's not as pronounced. I'll keep monitoring it. BTW, I've been using Exxon about 90% of the time prior to using Chevron.
