Rotors

What do you guys do for the rust that builds up on your rotors???I hate when my car and wheels are sparkling clean and you look through the spokes on the wheels and there's that nasty rust build up on the rotors...Has anyone sanded them a bit a hit them with some paint or something??

you can sand them down a bit and pray them with high temp paint, if your rotor need to be replace then go with stoptech kit since they came painted hub in black, Adam rotor is another option and they both are vendor here for this forum.

If you paint them it will look a little bit better. If the pad is smaller than the rotor then you'll see that ring every time they get wet.

Brakemotive also offers zinc coated rotors which don't rust. I have them and love them.

See?

I thought the same thing but there are so many people he has sold to and so many positive things I had to try it out.

My first set of front rotors had a vibration problem but after contacting him he agreed to send me another set and these are problem free, he has excellent customer service and ships very quick.

I think they look and perform great. Many members on this side have them, even the Type-S guys and they speak highly of them too.

Could you point me into the right direction to these vendors for Brakemotiv. My stock rotors right now have a ring thats getting thicker, its on the outter side i guess from the pad not touching till the outside?

Also the stock rotors rust up when i wash my car and goes away after.

Is there a link or a name to look up for this deal?
I been looking around and seen only a few sites, but your deal was like 50% of what I added in the shopping carts

http://www.carid.com/
http://www.autoanything.com/brakes/61A3068A0A0.aspx
http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/
Not sure if anyone heard of these sites? ^

Thank you. It was the TOP one lol!! Do you suggest going with ceramic brake pads that they say it comes with? I read that it wares down the rotor faster? Does it feel better then stock? Or less stopping power?

yeah just get the standard package. it stops the same as stock, they just look nicer behind the wheels. make sure you swap out your brake fluid too with motul 5.1

that will be more of an improvement than rotors/pads.

i like the rotor package like i said. no problems.

Aaron wins the interwebs LOL

I personally would go with the Motul RBF600 or the ATE Super blue, but the Motul 5.1 work just fine, if not better

and do get those F14's they are on sale

For Hawaii Motul RBF600 might be the better choice. Very high WET boiling point and as far as I know it never gets very cold. Both the 5.1 and 600 are on each extreme of the viscosity spectrum.
