Rocking Driver's Seat

Howdy folks,

My driver's seat has a slight rock to it, most noticeable when accelerating and braking. I know that in order to fix it, you have to remove the seat and tighten up a few bolts.

My question: For those of you who have had this problem, how much did your dealer charge, or did you just take it to a mechanic and have them do it? Is there a simpler fix that I may have missed?

Thanks.

It's funny you posted this. I am having the same problem with my 2006 TL. I just took it to the dealer today to be fixed. IF the repair is covered by the warranty it will be free. If not, I was quoted $66.00 to fix. I'll let you know.

I had this problem as well, there is a TSB on it. It was fixed under warranty, if I remember correctly they replace the entire bottom seat frame. I think that part runs $300-400

Might be. The seat is secured to the body using 4 19mm or 21mm bolts, I forget which, specifically. Grab a wrench, and start turning clockwise. If that's not it, take the bolts off, tilt the seat back, and look at the fasteners to see if you can DIY any loose bolts.

GL; if you can snap any pics maybe I can help from afar. Only dealbreaker will be if there's a loose rivet vs.a loose fastener.

I had that happen with my 04 tsx and the dealer finally replaced it under warranty. Seemed i was the only one who could feel it but it drove me nuts.

if you still have warranty they should fix it.
