Rocking driver seat 04 TL 6MT

My driver seat rocks if I brake heavily or make sharp turns. well not a lot but i feel the seat move a little when I do that. I am able to move the seat back and forth and tilt with no problems using the buttons.
I took it to the dealer and he said the seat track needs replacement and it would cost $1250!!!
Has anyone had this issue?
I do have extended warranty from Curry acura and my dealer (not curry acura) says it is not covered because of the type of wear. usual bull s**t!

Could this be something i can do myself?

Hey man check your blots under your chair there probably a little loose, I had the same problem with mine were when I brake my chair would rock back and forth. Notice it was loose when I was cleaning my car.

OP- there is a TSB on this issue. My dealer fixed my rocking seat per the TSB.

edit- look at this TSB and see if it applies: http://www.in.honda.com/Rjanisis/pubs/SB/b08-004.pdf

Thanks. This looks like the issue. I would have to remove the seat then to fix it. Is there a DIY for that? Where can I find 04TL service manual?

opening up an old thread, oh well it's a concern many may have so here we go.

I didn't read the TSB but my 08 Type-S was having the loose clunk feel and sound on acceleration and braking. I took the seat out, scratched my head, played with a few bolts and nothing was loose. I then noticed the tension cable in the front was loose and I tightened that up and it put some tension back on the rails. I didn't know if I solved the issue but I had no other ideas. I put the seat back in and had to use a bit of force to re-align the bolt holes because the rails I'm assuming had proper tension again. I got everything bolted in and......

1. My seat slides as quiet as I have ever heard a seat move in all directions
2. There was no vibration when the seat moved
3. When accelerating and braking my seat felt firm, zero rocking and clunking anymore
4 I don't feel like I'm gonna fall out my seat and all I had to do was tighten the rail tension cable

before going to dealer just look and see if your tension cable is loose. Hope this helps anyone with this issue
