Right front end "clunk"

I've been hearing a "clunk" from the front end for a while now. I was told it was a bad shock, but I don't completely buy it, as I hear the same noise occasionally when I start the car on an incline/slope. While driving it seems to come from the right front corner (not on all bumps BTW), when starting it seems to (occasionally) come from the center tunnel forward of the shifter... Doesn't seem to be a tranny mount - all gear engagments are smooth & silent, even under WOT... No vibration at idle or otherwise either.

Searched underneath for anything obviously loose or perishing - nothing. Any ideas? Thanks!

Could be the Swaybar bushings. They are cheap and easy to replace.
