Reversed Battery Terminals

My battery was dead so I went to put a fresh battery in it and ended up reversing the terminals it was late at night when I was doing this but asoon as I touched the positive on the negative side of the battery it made a spark , that’s when I realized something was wrong , I then flipped the battery the correct way and hooked the car up as normal and the car was completely dead , I ended up blowing the 120/70 fuse. I got that replaced and everything was good , the car fired right back up with the battery indicator on ( wasn’t on before ) was sitting in the car for a few minutes when all of a sudden all the dash lights came on ( VSA , ABS , Seat belt light Etc ) no check engine light , the fuel gauge died right out and same with temperature gauge . I then decided to turn the car off , waited a few seconds then when I went turn the car over it was completely dead , then I proceed to hook the car up to a battery charger to try and boost it , the car will randomly get power and die within a second so I can’t get the car started.(battery terminals are clean and tight) I have a test light and I’ve tested a few things so far , the battery lights up good , 120/70 fuse is getting power , there’s some fuses under the hood that aren’t lighting up (assuming the ignition needs to be on for them to get power) need some help and where I should be looking or if anyone has had a similar problem , the next thing I’m thinking of trying is making sure theres continuity in the starter wire and alternator , test the underdash fuses , if anyone has any suggestions I’m all ears. Just finished spending a lot of money getting all the front suspension good , if I can tackle this rather than bringing it in , that’d be great ! Thanks

check all the fuses first.

Does the car crank at all?

Try to communicate with it with a scanner. A simple OBD2 bluetooth unit will do.

Checked all fuses and everything was fine except for a blown radio fuse , car does not crank , it does nothing with a new battery , I gave the car another shot and hooked up the battery again but this time my negative wire started smoking almost instantly after I hooked the terminal up to the battery not sure what’s going on

Have you tried replacing your wires?

Do the lights turn on?

Does the gauge cluster turn on?

Have you tried cranking in neutral?

Can you communicate with a scanner?

They weren’t turning on anything , the car was completely dead , I get good power to my alternator so I’m thinking my wires are good , but asoon as I remove the power wire from the alternator ( having battery terminals hooked up ) I went to turn the key and I was getting power to everything ( dash lights , radio , etc ) , so I’m thinking I fried my alternator when there was reverse polarity.. hoping I replace this tomorrow and the cars good as new
