Reset CEL?

Just yesterday I had the CEL come on and the Nav message told me it is A P0170 code. I've done a little searching and am aware of what the code is and possible solutions. What I didn't see was how to reset to CEL. Lots of posts have said I just reset the CEL but didn't exlain how to do so.
Can someone tell me how to reset the CEL? 08 TL Type-S

Thanks! I figured that would work but wasn't sure if there was a shortcut like resetting the oil life indicator.

i believe there is a button or clock fuse method, but simply disconnecting power will do it. and is the easiest way.

Well when I was running errands this afternoon, I looked down at the dashboard and the CEL is no longer on. I didn't do anything in terms of resetting it, it apparently went out on its own. Maybe a certain number of ignition cycles reset it? So guessing maybe just a fluke. I didn't really think anything was wrong in the first place as there was no misfiring, hard starting and as far as I could tell MPG hadn't changed (only 1 day driving). I was simply going to reset it and watch to see if it came back. Guess I'll just keep an eye on it

Some codes will not keep showing a CEL should the problem not be detected after cycling. Could still be stored and readable, but the CEL could go away. Just keep an eye out for it.

Just an update - 3+ months later and the code has never reappeared. Guess it was just a fluke -

So a couple of weeks short of 4 years later - same code pops up.... I'm going to wait a couple of days and see if it resets again. No change in performance or mileage

Could be - I'll report back in a week or so. I need to change out my left CV joint so may have my mechanic look at it.
