Replacing dash due to damage by air bag

Anyone provide guidance on the work involved to replace the dash top. I heard that the seats have to be removed as well as the steering column dropped and whole bunch of other work.

Yes it is VERY involved. Get yourself the actual OEM service manual before you even attempt it. The center console, front seats, steering column and lower dash equipment all have to be removed before the dash comes out. There are small changes between some of the different years, so pay close attention if you end up with a different year manual than your car...

you will need to replace literally the whole dash, the fronts seats need to come out in order to remove the dash. As well you will need to take out a bit of stuff from the front of the car like the radio, speedometer, navi display, etc.

Get yourself a service manual and some friends who know what they are doing and you can tackle it, it'll take more than a few hours and some strong friends.

You don't have to remove the seats if you're careful. It's definitely a weekend job. Start Sat Morn.. end in the evening or Sunday Morning. Just take your time.
