What else have you been doing to the car? I ran a power wire to my trunk and had some trouble replacing the trim cover near the back seat. When I started the car, I got a red airbag light. Went back to check my work and I had disconnected the yellow plug connector to the side airbag. Plugged it back in and all is well.
Eliminate the obvious first!
I believe the airbag system has a lifetime warranty, as it is a safety device.

I would like confirmation on that. My airbag light will randomly come on and stay on. I fix it by turning off and restarting my car. Then the light goes away.

I didn't think there was such a thing as a lifetime warranty. That's why I'm skeptical.

I noticed the light when I got my first crack on my dash, now the light comes on after I put on my seatbelt and stays on until I turn my car off... I really have messed with any electrical besides my interior lights..

I know SRS lights related to seat belts were lifetime, then changed to 12 years or something recently. Try finding out exactly what the code is (you can google that), then ask dealer whether it's covered or not.
