Question recall on TL after windshield was replaced.

Has anyone heard about a recall on the windshield after it has been replaced. I was told by the company that replaced my windshield that if I hear a whistle after it was replaced then it didn't seal correctly and that this was do to a recall on the car. They informed me that I should notify the dealer because of the silent recall.

a recall after it has been replaced. due to a recall once it has been replaced. no matter how many times i read your post, i can't seem to understand you. i try and try, but your post isn't making sense to me.

What he said makes sense to me, but what they told him doesn't.

I can't think of any recalls that would cause the windshield to whistle after it was replaced.

Either they used an aftermarket windshield, or they didn't do the job right, and/or they are looking for an excuse for shoddy workmanship.

It could be a recall or a Technical Service Bulletin that has just come out and isn't widely known, so I won't rule it out completely, but it will be interesting to hear what happens.

I will be dropping my car off next Thursday. I will keep everyone posted. The windshield place that I used was the one that the dealer uses. They also explained that it was a silent recall. The recall was on something like the car trim not sealing correctly or something like that. I'm not sure if anyone else has had there windshield replaced but it is major surgery for the car. They take about every piece of trim off of your car. I will let everyone know what I find out.

Sounds like they are just passing their installation problem back to dealer. If it didn't make any noise before, why would it make noise after? Unless the installation was done incorrectly.
I'd be pretty suspicious of the windshield installer.
