rear wheel ticking

My car has roughly 2300 miles on it and just today developed a ticking noise while in motion. the noise is coming from the passenger side rear wheel. it seems to be more prevalent while under power. i did a search and could not find a solution. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas?

I did look under the car and around the rim and saw nothing that resembled an obstruction (i.e. branch/bag)

thanks in advance!

Is it under heavy/light accelleration at all RPM? Or light acceleration around 1500 RPM?

Could be a pebble or rock stuck or lodged in the tread of the wheel. Fully inspect the entire tread for embedded pebbles.

There has been a problem with a heat shield on the front axel and it makes a rattle noise at low RPM and I'll be damned if I can find the thread about it .. someone else may chime in with it. When its up on the hoist give it a twist .. it floats .
