Rear Seat Cupholder Disassembly??
Hi there, not sure where to post this so excuse my ignorance if it should be posted elsewhere.
My 9 year old son had the great idea to put a bunch of his loose coins into the rear seat cupholders (the one that flips back into the seat backs).
Now the coins are inside the armrest and I need to get them out! Can I remove the cupholder assembly? How?
Thanks and Help!

Bump
I can't figure how to get just the cup holder out. Can't find anything in the service manual other than what has been posted. I tried to lightly pry the front off with a plastic pry tool but it does not seem to want to budge that way??

I know this thread is a year old, but I figured I'd post for posterity and people doing Google searches like I did. The cup holder in my RL was stuck closed when I bought it. I assume it's the same design as the TL. I can't post pictures yet I don't think, but here's what I did:
1. Carefully pry open the cup holder with a trim tool or very carefully with a screwdriver.
2. There are two small screws on the bottom towards the front that hold on the front piece. Take those out and the front piece comes off.
3. There are four clips holding the trim bezel on. On the top, I took a right-angle trim tool on the inside of the bezel, and pushed up on the clips. The bottom was trickier, I had to slide a flat trim tool between the bezel and the leather, and pry downwards. I'll post a picture when I can, that will help explain it a lot.
4. Once the bezel is out, there are two screws on the bottom of the cup holder, take those out.
5. You'll think the thing should slide out now, but it won't. There are two clips on the top that hold it in. Use a trim tool or screwdriver from the side at an angle, and press those down while pulling out the cup holder. It's tricky, but with some patience and finagling you can slide the thing out.
Turns out mine had a mint stuck in the back that was keeping it from sliding properly. Once that came out it worked fine. Good luck.

I have a 2008 RL and the back seat cup holder will not go back in. I will try the above instructions and take some pictures as I go. Crossing my fingers it's just something stuck in it.

Have a 2005 RL, sure wish I could see some pics, have the same problem. Really never use the back seat or the cup holders but I just hate things not working right. If I do follow the directions above, will see if I can take some pics.
