Thumbs down Rear main leak; leave it or fix it

Hi guys, just noticed a couple spots of oil in my garage on Friday night. Just lifted the car and was able to see where it's coming from. Based on what others have posted, it appears to be the rear main that's leaking.

Car has 150k on it, and the trans just started slipping on 2nd gear from a down shift (5at). New fluid and switches 10k ago so I know its not that.

Here's my question: if I am in the hole for a rebuild or swap on the trans within the next year or so, should I bother with the leak now? Will it get any worse, ie: completely fail when I'm driving and dumping oil everywhere taking the engine out too.

Let me know..
