I have a '06 TL with about 30k miles on it. For the last 2 years when it gets cold out, around freezing or below, the rear door locks make a whining or wheezing noise when they lock. I had this looked at when the car was in for the recall last week and they informed me that this was common on this model of car. I did a search on the forum and could not find where anybody else had complained about this. So my question is, does your TL make this noise?

I am not real happy with the warranty service that we get at our dealer, as they are more concerned with add on service items (oil changes, and scheduled services), then fixing my warranty issues. Most of my warranty claims have taken more that one visit to be addressed.

im not saying mine does that, and i know id be pissed if mine did that, but i dont think its anything to worry about...30k miles however....i would try to get this fixed if at all possible before your warranty expires

 

it should not be doing that. Have them change out the actuator for it.
