Question Rear Deck Sagging!

Anyone had this issue (I couldn't find anything mentioned about it):

I have a rattle coming from the rear of the car somewhere. I have not yet been able to isolate it. After checking out the rear deck, I noticed that the entire rear deck is uneven and actually sagging. It appears that the rear deck is becoming detached from the rear windshield in two places. It appears aligned properly on either side and the center. Between the center of rear deck, and each side, however, it is visibly sagging and uneven. You can even see the foam adhesive being torn off.

So, here are my questions:
1) Is this normal?
2) Has anyone else experienced this issue?
3) Is this likely to be indicative of what is causing the rattle?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks Kenny. In Florida (Miami). That complicates things a bit. So not only do you have to deal with the standard terrible service, but because its S. Florida, the service levels drop about 10-fold! I will probably get told 2 things: 1) Sagging is normal and 2) Noise is within acceptable limits.

Bought the car as Certified pre-owned with 5K miles.

I live in Ft Lauderdale and I have the same problem with the rattle, it is kind of a ticking noise. I also bought my TL certified pre-owned with about 10K miles and it is an 06. I just noticed the seperation from the rear glass about 2 days ago, I will check into it further tomorrow. Maybe this the reason for the noise I am hearing in the back of the car, but it comes and goes

Are you saying the rear package tray is GLUED in??!!?!!?

That is unbelievable. The car is glued together, and there are those on this site that blame the rattles, fit, and finish on American labor. Try putting the blame where it truly belongs...on the engineers who designed the car.

i'd bet that some clips broke or popped out from their places, causing it to sag.

Hi Gordon, welcome to the dodgy service from Rick Case Acura. Please get used to the excuse of "technician could not replicate noise".

Hi CobraGuy, car was designed in California by American engineers. It was sold as "American-designed and American-built". I doubt car is glued together though. It is just adhesive foam insulation peeling off and I am sure that it is indicative that a clip is broken as csmeance suggests.

I don't care where it was designed...it was designed by Honda...signed off by Honda.

Don't get me started....

Calm down folks... I have taken the rear deck apart SEVERAL times for the purposes of locating rattles, installing my Aspec suspension, replacing my subwoofer... here are some pics and my write up

It is NOT glued together.. there are clips that insert into slots .. it should NOT sag... you can re-adjust the rear-deck and perhaps replace these clips to insert into the appropriate slots to help re-align your deck.
