Did a search and for some reason could not find anything.

I have a rattle coming from my cruise control buttons on the steering wheel. If I put my hand over the buttons, the rattle stops.

Any ideas? I dont want to go back to the dealership because they said it was in the cluster and tried to fix it, but just stuffed foam behind the cluster and did nothing.

well, it's the only one I have in my TL....overall I'm extremely happy with the car going on almost 1 year now....

The funny thing is that the rattle is intermittent, so it's really not too bad I guess, just when it is there, it's fairly loud.

 

Johnny--2k, I believe I had the same rattle on my 04 TL. YES, ANNOYING. Mine was intermittent, but then started doing it all the time. I usually have the radio/MP3 player going at a level to avoid it, but had it fixed the last time I took it into the dealer. The rattle is actually coming from the air bag inside the steering wheel. The service department took apart my steering wheel and wrapped/insulated something inside to stop the rattle. It was done under warranty and the problem has not come back in over 4 months.

 

I acutally just got the CF steeringwheel installed, and so far so good....no more rattle!
