My 08 TL-S is experiencing a rattle noise from the rear right side near the shelf area. It is a metal clinking sound, most heard over bumps, but is so bad that I can hear it on smooth pavement. I have heard the middle seat belt mechanism can cause this noise. I cant think of anything else it could be. I'm going to remove the rear shelf cover and inspect it tomorrow. I'm hoping that is it. Anyone have any similar rattles?

 

Had. Acura of Ramsey (in Northern NJ) once told me I had to replace the rear shelf deck while Acura of Manhattan not only replaced it, but had to open up the adjacent rear side panels and put stuffing in there. Manhattan figured out I only needed the stuffing and not the rear deck panel. Acura of Ramsey is one of those dealers to avoid like the plague as they got almost every diagnosis wrong!
