Started on yesterday, when i first cranked the TL, clicking sound behind the steering wheel occured. about 5-6 clicks, then it went away. Today, while driving on highway, it occurred several times at random times. At first, thought it was linked to the A/C, but after cranking the vehicle once again, witht the a/c off, it still occurred. Any ideas as to what may be causing this random clicking behind/below the steering wheel? My tl only has 57K miles.

 

There have been threads regarding clicking sounds with the steering wheel.

But in most cases it is due to cold weather and then it goes away after a while of driving.
