Radiator Fan ON when engine is off?
Well today after a casual drive across town, i turn off my car and the drivers side radiator fan is on and has been on for the last 10 minutes.
The top hose coming from the radiator is super hot and the lower hose is cold. (just an observation) The gauge inside says normal operating temperature.
I've had a stuck thermostat in my other car, and the bottom hose not being hot to touch like the lower makes me wonder.
Any thoughts? I called Acura dealership in Grand Rapids (45 minutes) away and they were not helpful.

you are correct on possible thermostat failure if the hoses are different temps.
Check (when engine cold) the actual inside level of the radiator, and look at the cap of the overflow bottle-inside the cap a hose attaches that goes down into the coolant- if that hose falls off- big problems
Check the radiator cap for damage to its seal
the water pump is due for replacement at 105k along with the timing belt
coolant has a useful life of 5 years then goes acidic- thats not good~
Have a local shop look at it for you-
borrow a pressure tester unit from parts stores and check for actual coolant leak somewhere.
Its very difficult for anyone to diagnose over the telephone!

Thanks for the fast response.
The radiator is not hot to the touch, all hoses seem to be connected and fluid at the appropiate levels.
This is a 05' 30k on it, and yeah i do realize how impossible it is to diagnose over the phone, i'm just in a pissy mood =D

One other possibility is a bad temp sensor for one radiator fan- several AZ members have had replacements under warranty. One guy removed the fuse to conserve the battery when his car's fan didn't shut off after 20 minutes.

Thanks for the response Will.
I went to the Honda and they told me 85 for diagnostic and i'd have to wait till next week!
Called Acura dealership and asked if there was anything i could check, she said no. (Bah!)
I ended up disconnecting the battery for about 30 minutes, reconnected and the fan doesn't run after i shut down the car. Which leads me to believe its an electronic problem.
Thanks for the heads up, a bad temp sensor seems to fit the problem.

Honda vehicles have a feature on them that enables to fan to turn on after the car is shut off. Often when the driver turns off the car, the engine heats up again. The fan turns on to keep the engine from becoming too hot. I believe it is a normal thing.
