So I am going to get the Syncromesh put in my car this week. what is the full name of the stuff i need to get? is it actually transmission fluid?
once i get this, i need to flush my tranny fluid and get a new filter correct?

 

GM Syncromesh Friction Modified is MTF fluid, only usable on MT trans. There is no filter to change on the MT trans, so if you have AT trans w/ filter, this is not applicable. It's just a drain and fill procedure.

 

yeah im an automatic, so am i just S.O.L?

 

the automatic runs ONLY on Honda ZR1 auto trans fluid- especially while in warranty!!!!

If your car has a shifting problem, it may have a real trans prob that warranty will take care of.

my third gear does that hesitation shit like at slow exceleration
and im at 70,000 miles as of today

 

Just change out the fluid with Acura's recommended ATF. Do it 3x, and you'll be find.
