Question about Spoilers????
Question about Spoilers????
We have a 2008 TL Type S with the deck lid lip spoiler. When we bought it we had the ASPEC body kit and a wing spoiler put in the deal from the dealer. They called and said the body kit was in but the wing spoiler has been discontinued. Does anyone know if this is true? It is the pedestal type spoiler we wanted. I have a feeling they realized they have to drill new holes and cover up my old ones and now it is costing them some cash. I asked them about that and the car salesman insisted no new holes were needed. Any help is appreciated.

why would you even entertain the idea of drilling new holes and covering up the old ones...that is not the responsibility of the dealer....if you want the wing put on correctly, you should buy a new trunk lid and have the wing put on or go to a body shop and have them do the fillling, sanding, painting...dealer installed factory options do not include this type of work....
and yes, the holes from the deck lid spoiler dont match up with the spoiler you want to install....

I would "entertain" this because its the spoiler we want on the car. And it is the responsibility of the dealer since when we bought the car we bought it with the other spoiler installed. I dont know what you mean when you say covering up but when I refer to it I mean fill sand paint not just use tape or plugs. The question was if this spoiler is still available? Thanks.
