Question about the heated seats

I just bought a 2004 Acura TL and I have a question about the heated seats. I have them set on high and altho they def feel warm, I feel like they should feel a lot warmer, like my ass should be burning afterward and I should be forced to put it on low

Are my heated seats weaker than normal, or is this just standard? And is there anyway to get more heat out of your seats?

Hard to say. I usually turn mine down to the lower setting after a while since Hi gets too hot for my taste after a while. It's not like they are burning hot or anything. They are just warmer than I want. If you are wearing a long coat that will diminish what you feel as well.

Are both seats the same ? I think the driver's seat has more heat in the lower back so just compare the heat of the bottom parts between the driver's side and passenger side.

If gen3 is the same as 2
The driver seat has back and butt heat
Passenger butt heat only- side airbag issue
Use HIGH to heat seat quickly- it has a temp overlimit cutoff switch and will turn off untill cooled and then come back again- hard on the system
Use LOW and it has a temp sensor to turn on and off to keep seat warm

I came from a Passat that had 5 position heated seats on both the seat & back both sides ... I guess I got spoiled ... cuz these are no where near as good and heat a way slower.

I have worn a sweatshirt and it still feels the same as if I wear a coat.

Basacally what I want to know, is there anyway to increase the heat coming from the seats?

In short, I don't think so. What you have is all you're going to get. Mine gets plenty hot, just takes longer to get there than my Audi did (kinda like women, if you know what i mean).

If the heater elements are working in the lower seat section and the lower to mid back for the driver, then its working and thats all it gets
Passenger only gets seat pan/bottem

Should get warm enough on HI in a few minutes to want to turn it down.

The actual heater pad looks just like an old electric blanket for beds with the wires running thru a fabric

I wish there was a way to make them say on hi. I do a lot of long trips and after the initial heat, it will go off for over 30minutes at a time, come back on for a minute and off for 30 minutes or more.

Are you really that cold inside your car, thats warmed up? I get annoyed after 5 minutes on high lol then ill switch it on low until it gets annoying again, then off.

I wish mine was annoying. Mine gets hot but then shuts off completely for 30 minutes. My once weekly four hour trip seems to always coincide with a heavy day at the gym and the heat feels real nice for a sore back.
