Door problem

I have an 06tl and I’ve been having issuses with my front passenger door. The light comes on A LOT while I’m driving sometimes and I’ve already replaced the sensor and tried to put a spacer in between for full contact. And recently with the strong winds I think the wind moves the door enough to move it off the sensor and my alarm goes off a lot when the car is parked. The door isn’t bend and body isn’t bent. Does anyone know what else I can check?

Is the senor on the post or is it in the latch?

Latch needs to be adjusted because it's no longer providing ample pressure on the sensor

Angry 2005 Acura tl right front passenger side door handle cover

I am having an issue locating the passenger right front cover for my 2005 acura tl online. I can only find the rear right passenger side. Is it possible that the rear side will fit on the front left passenger side? Or should i keep looking?

More problems

Now it stays on always, I changed the sensor and even if I push it with my finger all the way down it still says the door is opened. Also my electronics started messing up. No lock/unlock with key fob or buttons on door and my rear left window rolled down by itself and it won’t come up at all. Dash lights don’t come on but the car starts and drives perfect idk what’s wrong. This happens after rain btw. The car acts crazy every time it rains but this time it went complete ape shi* I might have to take it to a shop

FML. I don’t even know where the water is coming in from but I do think that’s the problem

Charged the battery to 100% and everything seems to be working fine EXCEPT the rear left window rolled down by itself and it won’t come back up. I was able to pull it up with the switch once but once I turn the key in the ignition it rolls down by itself and won’t come back up

All 4 sides have it so either it’s normal or I have a leak somewhere

That depends on if all 4 doors were left open when it was raining for a significant amount of time. Then I would say yes that's normal.
However, if only the front doors were use when it was raining then probably a leak.

Also check the floor boards to see if it's wet and the truck too. If it's wet then it's probably a leak.

The car was driven in the rain for about 20 mins but it was sitting out in the rain carpets are dry. My electronics did mess up and the car started working normal again after 2 days, I’m assuming either fuse box or computer got wet and now they’re dry so it worked fine again

Well then that's very odd and probably a leak somewhere. There should be moisture in the car anywhere. At least not enough water to be wet.

You need to figure out which electronics was acting up and which fuse box those electronics go through and start checking around that area of the fuse box. That would be a good place to start looking for moisture.

Check the carpets for dampness. there may be a leak on both of the top of your A-pillars.

Question

Does anyone know if the weather stripping around the windshield is supposed to be pressed against the windshield all around? There’s a gap on both sides of my windshield to the pint that you can see clips. And I’ve been having problems with the rain so now I think that might be the problem.Does anyone know if it’s normal?

The strip that runs along the roof also has a lot of play, is that normal?

as suspected, it's aftermarket, so whoever replaced it last didn't do it properly. is it leaking?

OH AND your the kid with the MICU problem..

Yup.. all interrelated. As I mentioned in the door problem thread (now merged), the windshield was leaking onto the MICU causing it to fry. Gotta replace the windshield/seal it properly and then replace the MICU.

Every single time it rains, my car bugs out. windows, locks won’t work, dash flickering when I try to turn the car on, alarm goes off and open door notification comes on. Now I’m assuming the windshield is leaking a bit and water gets into the wiring I guess, I’m not sure but that’s what I think

Thanks man, seems like it’s the windshield. I’ll try to get the fixed ASAP. And do you thing I should get the MICU replaced even if the car is back to normal? The car dried up I guess and everything is functioning as it should

take it one at time. re-seal the windshield to see if it fixes the issue. if it does, maybe you won't need to mess with the MICU

Only concern about the MICU is if water has already infiltrated it, chances are that there will be corrosion and if that's the case, you'll experience issues down the line .

that and rust
