Push the Volume Down Button on the Steering Wheel, but the Volume Goes Up?! wtf

Hey Guys,

its the RBP man reporting live. Did some searches on this and getting results was tough haha

anyone have this issue? I noticed yesterday that I was pushing the volume down button on my steering wheel and the volume kept going up? Then when I pushed the UP volume button, it kept going FURTHER UP? SO there was no way to turn down the volume from my wheel for HFE or music, only way was through the knob.

Anyone else have this issue?

I had that issue in my 2G, had to open up the controls, and get the grid replaced.

I would suggest going to the dealership, I just don't like playing with the airbags.

I think you are the first to have this problem in 3G, did you slam on the steering wheel or something?

Same problem

I had the exact same problem about 2 months ago on my 06 TL. Took it to the dealership and they replaced that whole button cluster. It was covered under warranty. The only thing that sucked is that it took two days for them to get the part. If you take it to an Acura dealership, I would make them give you a loaner, because any repair that is covered under warranty, they will give you the loaner for free.

I think this is a Honda/Acura issue in general. My wife's 04 oddysey did the same thing. Traded for the 07 before we got it fixed though.

What do you mean the loaner car for free? You do have to fill the gas and pay for it before you return the loaner, don't you?

The service manager told me unless I use more than 1/2 a tank don't bother filling it back up. I think he felt bad becuase the first 3 months I had me TL I had it in the shop 4 times for different minor problems. Bobby Rahal Acura in Harrisburg, PA has great employees, that really know how to take care of you.
