Problems with Automatic 2005

So by 66000 miles has began with the Problem the rev get high and no speed come and it isnīt shift! So i canīt drive!
I had read the error code by Honda! At the and when the transmission is warm it donīt shift! Oil pump in the transmision is defect!
So I have change the transmission fluid with filter! No results!

After some time it works without problems! I think the old transmission fluid been associated with the new fluid! So I have did change the transmission fluid again that 6/7 new fluid in it is!!!
Did you also might experience with it?

the hydraulic pump in the transmission is typically not a problem unless you are getting a code that states that main line pressure is bad. Your transmission was slipping as it might have been low on fluids

2001-2005 mid model year auto transmissons are just bad design.

I agree, the pump is hardly ever bad. In fact, I've never seen a bad pump on one of these transmissions.

We need a more detailed explanation, didn't you post in another thread from a month or so ago that you were experiencing transmission problems? Maybe it would be good to link to that thread or maybe Steven Bell can merge them so we can get more details.

If it's an '04-'06 there is an external transmission filter regardless of what the dealer says.

If it works when cold and not when hot there's a good chance the transmission is going bad and the debris is plugging up the internal screen after running for a while.

Electrical problems usually get worse when hot as well. That's where posting the codes would help. It could be a bad shift solenoid or circuit problem.

Does the car not move or does it not shift? There's a hose in the back of the transmission you can remove if you want to see if the pump is functioning but I doubt you want to do that.

Have you replaced the switches? If not it may just be worn out from old switches. Too many possibilities without more detail. Anything I say right now is just guessing.

I musst say that Honda didnīt give me the Error Code only the evaluation! But now the Acura drive without problems since I change the transmission fluid and a time! It can be that the old transmission oil were bad and the new had clean it! Should I be more thoughtful?

Check your antifreeze, the coolant lines for the tranny may have broken and started to mix with the coolant, in which case your tranny would just slip. Starting to be a common problem, search around.

Good luck.

You said it would not move in the winter until you changed the fluid. It was probably really low on fluid and the cold of winter was enough to lower it to the point of not working. I've run automatics on pure water to make it home, there's not much you can put in an auto to make it not move at all, especially not old ATF.

Just to clarify, how many times has it stopped moving? Is it just this once or is this the second time it's done this?

It began in winter it donīt shifting and then it didnīt move! So i change the tranny fluid and filter! The Acura dinīt move! Then i drive to honda and they read the error code! My TL stands by Honda and i picked it up from there! The weather was better! I drive from there with my TL without probs, otherwise the car stops at few meters! I wondered and I change fluid and filter again and drive ca. 50 miles without probs!
