So I finally got my 55w 9006 hid kit. they are 6000k in color. i spent all of yesterday installing them. today when it cooled off i was finishing it up. at first only one side would light up at a time, then when i turned on the car both would light up.
now when both sides would light up the passenger side was in but the driver side was not in the housing yet. i wanted to check if the bulb and ballast was working. when i put the battery pack in and turned on the car, and then the fogs, my battery went out. and now i think i just killed it because it will not hold charge.
On the site it says it uses 6 amps to start and 3.4 to use. But if they would turn on fine before it doesn't make sense of why it wont work now. By brother told me they sell a HID harness that is plugged directly to the battery. But, I am not sure if i need that or something else. Please tell me what you think is the problem.
Thanks in Advance.

try another battery or jumping the car to see if it's the battery, but a 55W HID is guaranteed to melt the stock fog light harnesses and maybe cause a fire. Your brother is right in telling you to use the Relay wire harness, it'll save your factory harnesses from catching fire and as well help protect the car's electrical system

I'm not sold on this, I'm thinking you left something on and drained your battery.
The DDM kits are 55 watt ballasts, but only 35 watt bulbs IIRC...PLUS, most OEM bulbs are 55W halogen which burn VERY hot too. I am not sure it will melt anything.
Check your wiring, make sure everything is plugged in well, make sure you've tiewrapped everything off and secured the ballast. Switch left and right side to get them both on. Also, check your fuses for the fogs. You had to have left something on for the battery to be dead. or it was on it's way out already.
