Power steering whine will not leave.
Ok, so I had two power steering pumps replaced and the whine still is there. The o-ring has been replaced too. I did the flushing and used oem fluid, what's next? Anyone in the same boat?
I'm also chasing a clunk in the front end. I noticed that ps fluid got on the frame bushing below the ps oil reservoir and think there may be an issue there. The clunk is really pronounced over speed bumps and on harder turns. Thoughts?
Thanks.

Is it worse when hot, cold?
What does the fluid look like after the car has been run for a while, does it have small bubbles in it?
All it takes is a small leak on the intake side of the pump to make noise in the system. It will leak when the car is off and suck air when the car is running.
Did you replace the o-ring or did the dealer claim to replace it?
It can be other things like the rack but if you have a drip, that's probably going to be the source of the noise.
If all else fails, you can always pull the serpentine belt off and start the car with no belt to make sure it's the power steering.
Most clunks are traced back to the swaybar endlinks or bushings. Sometimes they just get loose like mine did.
