TL-S models are a bit harder b/c of a different design to make the car sporty. The base and 04-06 TL are not 1 finger easy like some of the new acura's with electric steering, but it shouldn't be very stiff and hard to turn.

If your's is hard to turn, check the power steering fluid container under the hood and make sure it's filled up. Also if you haven't gotten the recall done yet for the power steering hose & wipers, I suggest you go and get it done!

For some time now many cars, and the TL is one of them, have not had power steering. They have what is referred to as power assist (I know, semantics but that is what they call it). This is far more desirable to enthusiasts who value road feel above easy of moving the steering wheel. And the better systems, such as our TL's, use variable assist whereby steering effort is varied based upon vehicle speed.

Cool info.
In my 6MT, I can tap the gas in Nuetral and the steering becomes manageable.
