Power steering hose and wiper motor

Last night driving home from Buffalo Wild Wings(I was watching the Giants dominate the Panthers! wwooooo hoooo) I thought I noticed a bit of smoke coming from the hood/windshield, but I thought I was just tired lol. Well I got into a little bit and then dropped the girl off to run into the grocery store and I definitly noticed the smoke and she confirmed it. So I pulled it up under the light and started looking, not a constant smoke but a light on and off smoke, definitly smoked more when I hit the gas on and off, I checked the ground and didn't see a leak so I atleast knew it wasn't something major. I then checked the coolant level and it was right where I checked it the other day so that was good. I checked the oil level and that was the same. I pulled it home and pulled her int he garage to notice the power steering pump level was low and massive air bubbles, I pulled out a extension and listened around, my pumps making a bit of noise from the air leak and I confirmed it is certainly the line. When I first bought the car(a month ago)I noticed some gunk on the top part of it, it bugged me I thought it was oil so I wiped it down and have monitored it a bit. After searching on here last night I confirmed we have a recall.

I called Crest Acura in Syracuse NY today and the guy was awesome, I explained to him everything and asked him if he was familiar with it, he was, I walked out to the parking lot at work and gave him my VIN number, he verified for me I have two recalls to be done, the power steering hose and the wiper motor something recall. He said bring it in any time monday and we will take care of it! He told me it took about 2.5 HRS. and is giving me a car to take! Awesome start to a healthy relationship with Acura.

End Rant! haha

That's good you caught it before it messed something up. Have you registered your car and VIN on this site? http://owners.acura.com/ It's great because it tells you if there are any recalls or service announcements based on your VIN

I went to my local acura dealer 2 years ago for an oil change and they told me the same thing about the recall. They set up another day for me to come back and they fixed it for free.
