Power Stearing Squeel in cold temprature
Although I have been a member for quite some time, this is my first post. 3rd Acura though ('89 Black Legend; '97 Silver 2.5 TL; '04 Black TL)
My 2004 TL doesn't like cold weather. When it is 40 degrees or colder outside, the power steering pump squeals pretty good. I've also noticed that the power steering fluid reservoir bubbles over with fluid. I'm guessing the power steering seal is leaking in cold weather do to the contraction of metal. Then once it heats up all is well.
Has anybody changed the power steering seal? Can you just get the seal or do you have to do an entire power steering replacement? I'd prefer to try the seal first considering the power steering works perfectly when warm. The closest dealership is 2 hours away. I usually do most car work myself. My '97 TL had me fixing things pretty frequently.
I've read most of the threads about power steering but thought there may be something new that hasn't been posted yet.
Thanks for your help.

It was the #13 o-ring for a lot of people. The Acura P/N is: 91345-PAA-A01 [O-Ring (13.0 x 1.9)].
Otherwise.. maybe replace all.. they're around 50 cents.
