Power outlet socket not working
Does anyone why the 12v car socket both the one in the armrest and the one below the console all of sudden stop working. I don't use it much, but I needed to put air in my tire this morning and none of the socket worked when I plug in the air compressor. I checked the owner's manual just incase if there is a switch that you can turn off, but didn't find anything. Any ideas will help. Thanks!

I checked the fuses below the steering wheel and even took my dash apart to check to see if the plug was plugged in to the power outlet.
I still cannot get it to work though. The fuses I changed even though they were good, and the power outlet was plugged in the entire time.
Does anyone know what else could be causing this? Is there a fuse inside of the hood that also needs to be checked? I can't imagine what else it could be.

Here's the schematic diagram for 07/08.
There is a relay in the interior fuse box in addition to the fuse and there is another fuse in the engine bay fuse box.
3 fuses in total could cause your problem.
#9 in the cabin is the accessory fuse and would prevent power from making it to your accessory sockets.
#32 in the cabin is for power to the relay and if it blew would prevent the relay from ever energizing thus preventing power from ever making it to your accessory sockets.
#15 in the engine bay feeds power to your #9 fuse in the cabin.
If the accessory power socket relay went bad you would also have this problem.
See schematic.
I'm assuming your car starts, so #22 and #23 in the engine bay that are also part of the circuit are good, if either of them went the car wouldn't start.

Just as a sanity check, you do have the ignition in the ACC or ON position - right?

Is there anything else that I'm missing?
Haha, yes I do make sure that the ignition is on the ON position.

Better yet, get a GPS or cell phone charger that works in another vehicle and plug it into the outlet to see if that device works.

If you have a DMM you can measure voltage on the accessory socket to see if it's present.
Or a test light, clip it to ground and then probe the center terminal of an accessory socket.
If it lights power is present, if not then something is wrong.
There's a relay in the interior fuse panel, it may be bad or may have come loose.

2005 Acura RL power outlets not working
Both outlets in my 05 RL suddenly stopped working. Sure enough it was a blown fuse (fuse #9, 20A, drivers side interior). Works fine now after changing fuse. (Fuse box in engine compartment has a fuse puller tool).
