possible AEM CAI issues?

possible AEM CAI issues?
I got my AEM CAI already..
just a few concern...
1) does the whole filter have to be submerged for hydrolock to occur.
2) can i still go to those car wash at gas station?
3) i know AEM has a bypass valve available. dun flame me.. but is it good idea to install?
