Poor MPG

I know this subject has been talked about numerous times however I get really poor gas milage in my 04TL Auto, but before you answer my question someone tell me is 13-15 mpg in the city (stop and go driving) acceptable. I have done the following to my car seafoam, brand new tires, never run AC or heater, new air filter, and never exceed 3,000 rpm. the dealership told me its nothing wrong with my car which I think is total bull. I had a loaner TL (09 TL tech) and I was easily getting 19-22 mpg. ?????

do you have any modifications done to your TL? Also check your tire air-pressures to make sure they are at least 32PSI cold. Also what fuel are you using? (Gas station and octane)

Look at running higher tire pressures, I was running 40 psi on my stock tires and it was great.

Have you had the car checked with an OBD reader to see if any codes are present?
Are you using a remote start?
Are you using sport shift instead of just letting the AT do the work?

my car's mpg has went down significantly as well after using seafoam. i think it's because the spark plugs get a bit "gummed" up after seafoaming and become less efficient. i'm gonna hold out a while till i do my seafoam again before changing the spark plugs.

I have a 05 AT and I get horrible MPG. drive mainly local, and get about the same MPG as you do. Approx. 200 miles for 13 gallons of gas.

i drive mainly local as well. before, it used to be around 18mpg to 20mpg but now it's around 14 mpg according to the trip computer after a reset. btw, i noticed that you're from the 626, you should come out to the meets sometime. I like the accord fog lights you have on btw. how hard was it to do?

We had a pretty hard time making it fit good, but that's cause we did it slightly different than others on the forum. Mine sits on top of the aspec lip. i think others have it sitting behind it...

Anyways, my trip computer shows 14-15 mpg as well. sort of sucks

It must be typical. I get 20 mpg half highway half city. I've yet to be in stop and go traffic. My 98 lexus was getting 24 city and it has 105,000 miles vs. my TL which has 40k. I'll be doing all the good "tune up" stuff to it this spring and we'll see. I've just accepted what it gets.

my gas mileage significantly improved after changing my spark plugs to the OEM NGK iridium laser. i also switched to new 3rd and 4th gear pressure switch sensors. i will get 36mpg on the fwy max and get about 28mpg combined now.
