hi, i just got a 06 TL and i try to put my HID from my 97 CL to 06 TL fog light, i know they both using the 9006 bulbs but for some reason once i hook it up and it would not turn on? anyone have the same problem? I know nothing wrong with the HID cuz i just put it back to my CL now .... hope some of you can help me on this

i know when i changed out my fogs to HID's, the kit came with a ballast.. i dont think u can just change out the bulbs, you might need a ballast also...
( someone correct me if im wrong)

 

oh i have the ballast too .... but for some reason it doesn't work ... and it works fine on my CL .... i hook up everything that ballast need already ...

Does your CL allow you to turn on the fogs without the headlights? It sounds electrical, so my initial thought was that you just put the lights in "parking" mode, thinking the fogs will turn on with the switch, which they wont.

Did you remember to plug in power to the relays? When I put HIDs in my other car, I forgot to connect the relay to the existing headlight socket.

 

yeah i plug in everything and i even leave one of the fog light to stock so i know for sure i turn on the fog light .... but still no luck ..... so i really have no ideal whats going on.

first, i would check to see if they are fuctional and wire them to the battery, I understand that they were working in your previous car but you never know, if they work hooked up to the battery, then most likely that you need to use a relay setup , reson is that the foglights usually take up 35watts each and HIDs ballasts start at 35watts and up, just my $.02
