Please Help, Possible Clutch issue?
Ok everyone, I will admit I am not the most knowledgeable about to inner workings of a manual trans, but I know this cant be right. I was leaving work this evening and started the car as normal and tried to shift into reverse with no luck, it seemed "locked" so being the persistent guy I am I tried to get the car into first NOTHING!, so I turned the car off and gave it a go and every shift I made was just fine, turned the car back on and nothing again...my cars an 05 tl 6sp. purchased about 7 months ago and has right under 60K on the dash. Please everyone give me some insight on this and whether I am still covered under my CPO warranty. Thanks in advance

CPO is till 100 but clutch DISC or pressure plate wearout is not- thats wear and normal
BUT!
There is a known problem with clutch SLAVE Cylinder wearout (happens to any car with a clutch)
that should be covered by CPO
First look in the fluid resivour for the clutch master, small one next to the brake master cyl
Is it low on fluid??- has low and full marks
If low but still above low limit- try pumping the clutch pedal twice quickly- as if you were pumping the brakes, if it has better firmer pedal 2nd stroke-and it will easily shift into gear now, you have a fluid pressure leak- most often slave cylinder
Sometimes its the Master cyl, easy to check slave for leak first
DONT drive it if the level is BELOW the low limit- acura dealer will send a tow
Ck the lid- it will say fluid spec, normally DOT 3 or DOT 4, you can use dot4 in dot3 applications but not the other way
there are a few recalls on your year- register with acura care 1 800 382 2238x5 (need VIN) and ask if any Open recalls- or ck on your acura.com owner account
the dealer is supposed to run your VIN each time its in for anything but I dont trust anyone-

to test the clutch disc for wear- find a steep hill where the engine will be working hard and try it in 4th gear 45 mph, where the clutch load will be most severe..
gas it!
If the rpm rises but car doesnt go faster---guess whats happening, no grip of the fiber disc to the metal pressure plate
As a new owner go meet the Service MANAGER, ask if the tech can take a quick ride with you to see if its serious (assuming fluid level was perfect)

Thanks a ton for the info, I checked the fluid and all is well, tried the double clutch kick and the second press was noticably firmer (and a small smile formed) turned over the car and same deal...I guess monday is the moment of truth going to have to call and find out what my next step is, but much thanks..
