plastic part next to door handle

hi guys,

has anyone had to replace that plastic piece next to the outside door handle...if so, how'd you do it???

get the piece from the drivers rear handle to replace it and throw away your valet key=shaved door mod!

i have found one on ebay already, just wanna know how to replace it...

its easy---pull the door handle partially open and insert a thin screwdriver or butter knife type thing in to pop the clip. Be careful, it breaks easily. Once it is off, slide the new part over the far end and press the clip side down until it engages with a click.

How do you know he's doing a keyhole delete? Maybe his just fell off. It's been known to happen.

To fix that you need to replace the base plate from inside the door.

a verry common prob. on the ac, they were under warenty,,but still had to wait,, on backorder from acura. on backorder from them,, you know their havin issues ....

thanks guys, yeah i guess it just fell off, there's no signs of it being taken off forcefully...hope its easy to put a new one on as said...

this is the second time it has happened to me.
I just did a walk around like a week ago and was like wtf!
I had only went one place that day but it wasn't there so I need to order another one.
I honestly forgot about it until i read this thread.lol

anyone have the part number on it because im not sure if im ordering the right part [ no pic available on site] because the dealer paid the first time.
