Ping is normal ?????

I noticed when i slowly accelerate, and around 2000 RPM I can hear a kind of metal cliking sound. The mecanician said it's normal and canno't do something about that.

I always use 91 octane gaz, as recommanded.

I think it's the famous heat shield, but they said they checked it and everything is fine.

I don't think it's normal for such a car to have ping, what do you think and how i can be sure it's not ping ?

Can you hold 2nd gear in sport mode shifting at 2000 RPM. Does the metal clicking sound hold at or around 2000 RPM?

At what RPM does the sound go away?

if i hold the gear in 2nd at a stable rpm like 2000 i cannot hear the sound, i need a slight acceleration to hear it. If at the same moment i put in N and accelerate slowly to increase a little the RPM, no more sound.

It seems to dissapear at 2500 RMP

The heat shield issue comes and goes but you can even hear it during idle. I used to have the problem but it disappeared about 3 months ago and I really think it has something to do with the cooler weather.

I thought the heat shield issue sounds like more of a buzzing sound than metal clicking? Pinging or Buzzing Between 1,500 and 2,500 RPM

It's the same song as if you hit your keys together. I'm sur it's the heat shield and i,m going to show them the same paper ( the one you sent me) and ask them again and again to check it.
