PCV Piece Broken in Valve Cover

My PCV broke off leaving a part of it inside a little compartment of the valve cover. I can't reach it with anything, nor does a shop vac work. The new PCV fits in just fine...is it harmful to leave that small broken piece in the valve cover?

I have a 3G TL but could not find someone with the same problem. As you can see from the picture the PCV "port" is clear, and in the second picture, the plate of metal which appears to be rivited into the valve cover is where that broken part lies. Any ideas? Is it alright to run it like this?

Is the broken piece you are referring to shown at the red arrow below?

If so, can you flush / spray it out with some brake clean activity?
Just be careful to not get the brake clean on the rubber spark plug VC seals.

No, the broken piece is past that hole in the middle, you can't see it from that picture.

mine broke all to pieces inside that metal piece. I just flooded it with super clean and brake clean and stuck a water hose into it and once everything was clean and dry the pices fall right out
