passenger window..

today i installed my oem window visors for my 3G tl-s. when i press the auto window button to go up, it closes then goes back down half way. everything is flush and put back how it was supposed to be. im guessing something is in the way of the sensor but idk what it is. anyone have this issue after installing window visors?

sounds like your regulator. My pass. window would go down but when I tried to bring it back up in the auto mode it would go up and then right back down. If I brought it up in the 1st click (non auto mode) it would go up fine. I replaced my regulator and it fix the problem. Seems to be a common problem

The regulator might not be bad. It's called pinch control or something like that. Basically it prevents the window from rolling up on your hand, kids neck etc... Take your door panel off and then try to roll the window up using the drivers side switch. If it rolls back down take then trim piece that runs along the edge of the inside door. It's a rubber trim piece. Mine did the same thing and I had to move the trim piece forward.

there is a TSB out for this. Apparently over time the window channels get grime and dirt in them and it makes it harder for the window to roll up. Once a certain resistance is reached, the window retracts to prevent hurting someone or damaging the motor. More than likely when you installed the visors the dirt/sand/particles slid down and are now clogging up the channels. Try putting a towel on something thin (like an ID car or business card) and run it though the channels and see if it helps
