I cannot operate the passenger side powered window with either the driver side or passenger side controls. When I press the control button I can hear it making a click but nothing happens. Do I need a new motor or has anyone one had any experience with this issue that was resolved with a simple fix that did not involve replacing the motor?

could be your actuator(sp?) gone bad. or maybe the window came off track. you can always pop off the door panel and check

 

I had the exact same problem. In addition, the window actually fell down and it wouldn't stay into place. I had to duck tape the window up until I got it repaired. Replaced the power window regulator and it fixed it.

 

I'm having the exact problem with the driver's window. I checked the fuse but it's fine. Just get a click sound from the switch area. Any thoughts? Thanks

 

I just realized that Twisdit posted that his was the regulator. Is this a difficult project to replace and roughly how much is the part? Thanks.

 

I had this exact same problem 6 months ago. I replaced the regulator and it started working perfectly. Now, its broken again. What are the chances the regulator is bad again just after 6 months? Same symptoms, clicks, but window does not move.


Thoughts?
