Has anyone had a problem with the Passenger Airbag off coming on and off ? tonight on my way home i looked to the dash and it showed the passenger airbag off sign but then it just went out again!! and then came on for like 20 seconds and went out again.. i think is the first time that happens to me.. anyone had this problem too ?

Do you have anything on your passenger seat? if there is a small object, it will set off that light. It thinks there is a small child there. an airbag deployment on a small toddler would destroy them.

There are 2 sensors, one in the seat bottom and one in the seat back.

If the unit detects something in the seat bottom but not on the seat back, then the airbag will be disabled.

If you have an object on the seat that will intermittently cause the sensor to think there is something on the seat bottom without triggering the seat back, it will disable the airbag and the light will go on and off.

My son always leans forward when we're driving and the light goes on and off all the time.

If nothing was on the seat- proceed to dealer for Airbag Issue repair ASAP!!!
