Painting Peeling Bumper-not a touch up. PaintScratch, TCPGlobal, DrColorChip Thoughts

My 05 TL has developed 2 half-dollar size peeling of the paint on the left and right side of the bumper just forward of the wheel well. I've seen several Third Generation TLs (oddly silver) that have had the paint peeling on the bumper. Some really, really bad. I've read enough on here to know that's more than touch up paint using touch up pens. I'm also not ready to plunk down $800+tax on a body shop to re-do it. So I'm considering buying custom spray paint from either PaintScratch.com, TCPGlobal.com...not so much DrColorChip. Fourquestions for those who are familiar with this work and these companies: 1) Any real life experience using these 3 companies or any other and who do you recommend?; 2) what lessons learned can you share from your experience (including opinions on just spending $800); 3) any tutorials or videos you recommend? I've been on YouTube for a brief search but didn't see a lot except touch up videos; 4) Given the size of the peeling, I'm thinking the spray can option will be the most cost effective vs the big cans and getting a sprayer. Thanks in advance.

There is a lot of prep and more importantly, skill that goes into auto body painting. If it was a smaller chip I would touch it up, but 2 half dollar size area I would either just live with it or pay a professional. You might get away for less than 800.

The issue is that from what I"ve seen, that paint peeling gets bigger. So I can get the supplies for about $100 myself or plunk down $800 (you're correct on the quoted prices). I don't have a full appreciation of the prep work involved however I'm one to always try to do it myself first. I'm thinking worst case is that I'm out $100 in supplies if I try it and botch it and then I'll have to pay to get it professionally done.
