Hey azine, a while back I noticed hair like indentations on my hood and side fenders. Recently at a dallas meet, I found out it was because my paint was cracking. I was told I could wet buff it, but I don't know how. Anyone else with this problem? And solutions? I would like to avoid an expensive day at the paint shop to be honest...

I also have a paint "crack" on the top left side of my rear bumper. When the trunk is closed it's not really noticeable. At first I thought it was some dirty water that had dried (that's what it looks like).
Appears some dirt/debris has collected inside the paint, and it's contained to the one area.

Take it to a couple indipendent but quality body shops and ask them if they know what it is.
Couple of things can cause it and mostly its poor prep prior to painting and if thats the case you might get Acura to cover some of it. Use of products on the paint that contain Xylene can do it too.

wow 1600 is a lot!! ... you could probably go to a little bumper repair shop and they should be able to repair it for a lotttt less than that, although it may not be 100 percent correction

If its never been painted and the issue is under the clear it may be whats called clear failure. Some looks like little chicken tracks.

I have a feeling I'm going to have to meet with the regional service rep again.
