So, I'm back...
My check engine light recently turned on, it coded tc clutch stuck off, I've somewhat seen videos and looked at what should be done, if anyone would like to dumb it down just a bit, that would be awesome!
Also, I've noticed it is slow to engage from reverse to drive and vice versa, it takes a while for the car to fully engage, does this have anything to do with the other problem I have? Are they related in any way or none at all?
Can someone please shine light specifically on this. Thanks!

 

hi jennivanessa. thats how my transmission symptons started off. a year later I ended up getting it rebuilt because of the delay in shifting and it then started to slip.
the p0741 code, I had it for about a year. it would come on and off at random times but it eventually lead to failure.


I hope your case is different but it appears this is the beginning of a failing trans

 

Have had TC sensors stick on, never release and cause the car to stall when coming to a stop, but
never had one that failed to send signal to lock up, but my first thought would be to check the solenoid, harness,
connections for operation.

 

Thanks for shining light on my problem! i went to one of my brother's mechanic friends and he said that it's internal transmission problems, even changing the solenoids won't do it any good.. so it's looking like a rebuilt 😅

 

My 05 Tl mileage is around 150k ,I changed the APP sensor yesterday cuz I had a problem with acceleration. After I drove 30 miles the check engine light came on...went to Autozone,the code reading says "P0741,torgue converter clutch circuit stuck off" my local mechanic told me i have to change the transmission a while ago. I hope its not a big problem. Do you think It have anything to do with replacing the APP sensor?

 

I don't know much about cars and such, but it shouldn't have anything to do with that. The code has more to do with the transmission not shifting properly I believe, but like I said, I don't know about cars as much, so don't laugh at me lol
