P0302 Engine Code
P0302 Engine Code
I was wondering what type of fuel injectors the 2004 TL uses. Peak and Hold or saturated. And what are the CC? I think I need to replace them.
When I start the car, it will idle fine but when I drive off, and reach the stop sign at the end of the street, the idle drops below 1 and stalls on me. Every once in a while, I will get the check engine code p0302 saying that I have a misfire.
I thought about the seafoam but I don't think that will help.
I have 83k miles on the car. The last 20k all freeway.
Thanks

Misfire on cylinder #2. Could be a bad/loose coil pack, could be an injector, could be spark plug, could be worse:

80k miles -I would change the plugs out with NGK Iridium (same as stock) and run seafoam (before plug change) thru the intake manifold and gas tank.
and buy 1 coil- try it on each cylinder till the car runs right, thats the most frequent cause of misfire code. BUT there may be a TSB on this issue at the dealer
If changing the plugs- the odd looking oil wet one had the bad coil- put the new coil on it!
make sure to reset the ECU so the computer can run self test and relearn without a misfire
Its possible this is covered under the emission warranty- it wont pass smog right now and is under 5 years old--check the warranty, call acura 1-800-382-2238 x5
and go speak to the service manager at your dealer

Thanks. Yes I am using the 91 octane. Changed the plugs about a month ago. Went away for a little bit but came back. Swapped coil 3 with coil 2 so we will see if I get another code. I also put in a can of seafoam.
