P0300-0306

So it started this morning, the wife drove my 08 TL type s, it's auto with 70k, it started with a p0305 then I went and checked coils and they were all fine. While idling it threw a p0306. Then I took it for a test drive then p0301 came up about a 1/4 Mike later p0304 came up. What would make it throw different misfire codes all in one drive around a country block?

If you’re getting the P0300, and all the others, it indicates a universal problem that affects all the cylinders, not cylinders that aren't firing. The ECU doesn't know whether there is spark or not, it knows that the cylinder isn't supplying it's share of power, so the code(s) are shown. Check the EGR valve for leaks, vacuum leak, fuel pressure issue to start.

Were there any results? I just had the same issue. I had just bought my 07 type s MT a week ago and just had it warm up this morning. I came out to the P0300-P0600 codes set. It idles and runs fine but I'm scared to drive it. The guy I bought it said the plugs were installed about 10k miles ago. 122k on the odometer and all the 105k maintenance had been done.

Gonna have to check the plugs to see if they are issues. May be a coil too. Also make sure the plugs are properly spec'd and are NGK Iridium's.

I removed the front coil plugs one at a time and the engine changed tone each time. I removed one spark plug and it seems to look great and was the NGK Iridium IZFR6K11. I removed the EGR valve and it was clean. I found a vacuum leak on the capped motor mount solenoid. I fixed that and used my flashpro to reset the codes. I thought the code was fixed but it just came back today. P0300, P0302, P0304, PO305. The previous owner did a valve adjustment when he replaced the timing belt at 105k. He did install those spacers to the throttle body and intake manifold. Could that be causing it?

Check cylinder 4 coil pack again. I found this post:

the cylinders are

back of car

123

front of car
and fire 1-4-2-5-3-6

I switched my coil pack for cylinder 4 and waloh fixed..
so the bad coil made that cylinder and the two after it misfire..

Im in NJ and have and etra coil pack i can sell you for $30
I bought 3 and only needed 1..
I had the same misfire problem, except for cylinders 3,5,6. I changed out cylinder 3 coil pack and everything went back to normal.
