So I had the update done for the p0171 lean bank1 code

Anyone have any input on this code? The reflash was already done and seems like the code pops up when idling for awhile.

i want to know whats this problem as well i had the same issue with my 07 type s but after clearing the CEL it hasnt come back but i am getting low mpg and a egg smell from the exhaust when i press down the pedal at high speeds maybe a 02 sensor? need help

 

Seems like on mine it comes in after idling for a while shutting off and then starting back up

 

I have been to the dealer a few times with the same problem ,first they did the software update then purge valve and now they are going to do a valve adjustment ,hopefully that fixes the problem on my 08 type s

Hey guys just got the car back today , have to wait and see if the light comes on .The light will usually come on when i have a quarter of a tank left ,and last two day than go away .

 

Well today the light came on again ,back to the dealer

Possibly they will change o2's or cats next?

 

i have same problem too dealer in valley stream quote me around 300 + to fix this, i got the updated but that didn't do anything so they want to do a valley adjustment. keep us posted because this is crazy

 

Yeah man ,its really frustrating that the dealer can't figure it out .I'm dropping the car off monday or tuesday i'll keep you guys posted .

 

Any update? My car has been having this code for about a year, but I just got it less than a month ago, so I don't want to spend a bunch of time/money at the dealer. I just got another code for the Throttle Sensor which is $120 to replace.

Car has been running like crap lately, doesn't pull any harder than my old i-4 Accord.

 

dont worry about it, i had same message like 1.5 ago. I dont think it is sensor problem, put best gasoline available and once in the injectors clening solution. And i dont think you will have same issue again. You car is not pulling right now because it is hot outside. TLS dont like to driven when it is hot outside.
