did the research to find out that its the o2 sensor and from my scanner read " 02 circut no activity, (bank 1 sensor 1)"
all i need to know is which 02 sensor is it? i read in a few post it said in front of the engine and another post stated it was near the firewall? i just need the clarifcation. TIA

yea i already reset the code with the scanner twice. comes back almost immediately. havent really noticed any change in mpgs. believe man i aint trying to spend money unless i have to. But its important for me to have everything running soundly because im expecting a baby soon.

In that case, looks like it's either a loose connection at the sensor or ECM/PCM, or a bad sensor.

I have a 2006 TL with a P0134 reading. I have checked the connections and they appear firm. I have cleared the code several time but the code reappears quicker each time. So, it sounds like a O2 sensor needs to be replaced.
1) Can someone confirm that the bank 1 sensor1 means it's the rear (meaning near the firewall) sensor?
2) The front sensor and rear sensors appear to be identical. Of course, the rear sensor is much more difficult to access. Is it possible that the large structural bar that is in the way of accessing the sensor can be removed?

Yeah, strut tower bar comes off, 3 nuts each side, two bolts on driver's side, 1 bolt on passenger side. Retorque the nuts to 21 ft-lbs??

Thanks nfnsquared.
I removed the srut tower bar and replaced the sensor. After clearing the code all seems well.
The hardest part was unclipping the socket and loosening the old sensor. With the help of a good neighbor, both were accomplished.
All seems well after about 35 miles of driving.

Im having the exact same problem!
i have an 05 TL and my codes were coming back P2251 & P0134
Someone told me the light would go away if i changed the front sensor thats visible right near the radiator fan
DONT change that one!!!
I changed it, turns out now it only reads 0134 and the damn light is still on!
So im guessing P0134 is the rear top one near the drivers side and under the strut bar? Correct me if im wrong please but this problem and the stupid check engine light is driving me crazy lol
