I recently noticed that the fit and finish of my outside mirrors is different on the driver and passenger sides of my 06 TL.

On the driver's side, the bottom of the mirror fits flush to the door skin.

On the passenger's side there is noticable gap between the front of the mirror and the door skin. The gap is large enough that I am concerned about moisture getting inside the door.

I have only seen one other TL since I noticed this and it was a NBP and the mirror fit was the same as mine, although it was not as obvious as on the WDP.

I wouldnt worry about mouisture, I am sure there is a gasket there, but if it really bothers you, check all the other TLs in the area before complaining to the dealer. I think it will be fine.

 

Thats crazy mine looks EXACTLY like that, same color too, and an '06. I just picked it up two weeks ago and noticed it when washing it. I think I'll bring it up to the service dept. when I get a chance to take it in (pulling to the left....).
